Hydra-Dermabrasion

About the Procedure:

Hydra-Dermabrasion is similar to microdermabrasion, however Microdermabrasion uses a “mildly abrasive instrument to gently sand your skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

That said, it’s not exactly microdermabrasion, and most aestheticians consider  it far better. The device uses an exfoliating tip paired with suction to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. After the skin is exfoliated, serums are infused into the skin, which is  the key reason it’s so effective.

There are three steps in the basic Hydra-Dermabrasion treatment. There is no downtime, and the entire procedure takes on average less that 1 hour; however based on client preference different "boosters" can be added to augment the treatment which can result in longer treatment times.

3 main steps of the Hydra-Dermabrasion Procedure:

Cleanse and Peel:

This is the resurfacing step, when the skin is exfoliated. “Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin. It has long been known to have the effect of: leaving the skin brighter, unclogging pores, and in the long term increasing collagen production.

Extract and Hydrate:

The tip gets gunk out of pores and delivers topical moisturizers simultaneously.

Infuse and Protect:

Your treatment will finish with “boosters,” or serums which are geared toward your skin goal, and may include reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, or enlarged pores. The treatment is entirely customizable through these “boost” serums, which is a major perk for patients.

In addition to the three steps listed above, our Clinic adds the following to every Hydra-Dermabrasion performed at our Clinic:

1.  Radiofrequency (RF) therapy/skin tightening, is a nonsurgical method of tightening your skin. It involves using energy waves to heat the deep layer of your skin known as your dermis. This heat stimulates the production of collagen. Collagen creates the framework of your skin and gives your skin its firmness. As you age, your cells produce less collagen, which leads to laxity, sagging skin, and wrinkles

2. Ultrasonic Facial: A painless, non-invasive procedure that uses low-frequency vibrations to rejuvenate your skin. The treatment is an alternative to surgery, with decreased recovery time and no scarring. Ultrasonic facials are fantastic for people with loose and wrinkled skin. Plus, the effects are seen almost immediately after the procedure.

Ultrasonic facials activate collagen production, which promotes firmer, healthier skin. The device works by creating high-energy, inaudible ultrasound waves that heat your tissues and get into the deep layers of your skin. Unlike other non-invasive methods like laser devices, ultrasonic facials manage to make it through the superficial layers of the skin. Ultrasonic facials stimulate the dermis layer that’s in charge of producing collagen, creating tighter, renewed-looking skin.

Ultrasonic facials benefit your skin in several ways. For one thing, it smooths out wrinkles and promotes the development of healthier facial skin. Ultrasonic facials have also been effective in rejuvenating skin elasticity. The procedure can eliminate dead skin, decrease acne, and nurture exfoliation. In general, ultrasonic facials promote the development of healthy nutrients that contribute to thriving, fabulous skin!
